Monday, 27 January 2025 - 7:00am to 8:30am

Hello and welcome to the Monday Breakfast show for the 27th of January 2025. On today's show:

- On Tuesday last week, Midsumma announced trial for this year's march in which participants would not be allowed to wear formal uniforms. Armed security have also been banned from joining groups marching. In response to the decision, Victoria Police announced that its members would not march. Midsumma's announcement follows a community effort organised in part by No Police At Pride. To hear more about the effort as well as the coverage of the announcement, Rob spoke with co-organiser of the No Police At Pride campaign, Wailwan/Wiradjuri man Frank Gafa.

- Closing speeches from yesterday's Invasion Day rally by Uncle Robbie Thorpe, Uncle Gary Foley, and Samara Fernandez-Brown

- An excerpt fom the "Peoples History of Australia" Podcast, Ep 19, entitled "Jobs for women! Fighting sexism at the Port Kembla steelworks" where we hear Diana Covell (founding member of the historic "Jobs for Women" Campaign and former steelworker at BHP's Port Kembla Steelworks) discussing  the background to the fight against the company's management, who systematically discriminated against women.
