Patrick has come back to the Local Food Connections show to chat about biophilia, the hypothesis that as human beings we have a natural affinity with nature which is expressed in our love of plants, animals, oceans and all things natural and which is essential for our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. As a therapeutic horticulturalist at Kevin Heinze GROW, Patrick discusses some of the evolutionary reasons for this love of nature and how even pictures of natural scenes can help people connect to their essential selves.
