Victorian homelessness makes up almost 40% of the national total with 113,000 people without, or at risk of being without a home, and 105 Victorians per day being turned away from services due to lack of housing supply. Damien praised the broader community for their compassion and care for homeless persons, and urged the State government to increase provision of vital social housing.
