Earlier this month the Radioactive team travelled to Yeelirrie in WA to hear from people and communities affected by Cameco’s proposed uranium mine. I interviewed locals Marilyn and Colin - owners of a nearby cattle station which will be affected by the proposed mining.
Also a special fireside talk by Tjirwal traditional owner Vicky on her country in Yeelirie. Vicky talked to us about her involvement in the movement and Walking for Country, dealings with mining companies, building solidarity with other affected communities throughout Australia through ANFA and WANFA.
