Westbury Prison is missing from the Tasmanian election campaign. The Tasmanian government’s announcement in September 2019 that it would build a prison in the north of the state drew such protest from the residents of Westbury that, nine months later, it put forward a different site a couple of kilometres down the road. But the Crown land it intends to build on is an informal reserve and now even more of the area’s residents are up in arms. Reema Rattan caught up with some of the locals on the issue ||
