Seventy Years of the Bomb:
Hiroshima and Nagasaki remembered.
August 6 and 9 mark 70 years since two devastating split seconds in time, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, 1945. 3CR's Jan Bartlett talks with Associate Professor Tilman Ruff of the Nossal Institute for Global Health at Melbourne University, and founding chair of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons.
Their fascinating conversation takes us on a journey from the genesis of the bomb, through to what happened on those fateful days in August 1945 and onwards to the current global campaign for a ban on nuclear weapons.
