Saturday, 2 May 2020 - 10:00am to 10:30am
Save Our Ocean, Save Our Planet

The storage capacity at the Fukushima nuclear power plant is reaching its limit, and a japanese government committee has come out with a report stating that “the most realistic option is to release treated water into the ocean.” Alternatives for long-term storage on land, including large tank storage and mortar solidification are being ignored. On this week’s radioactive show, we hear from Philip White, a Friends of the Earth member who lived in Japan for many years and has been involved in the campaign to deal with the ongoing disaster at Fukushima.
