They join us today to speak about their live podcast series ‘Race on the Table’ produced by 3rd Stage Productions with Dr Nilmini Fernando and Fjorn Bastos (DJ Papaphilia). These free public events at Twosixty in Brunswick unpack issues marginalised artists face and discuss the vital role arts and artists play in navigating race, racism, and healing. Professor Nancy Baxter, head of the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, joins us to speak about the need for a comprehensive public health strategy to deal with the spread of COVID19 and influenza in the face of rising infection rates as we enter the colder months.//

Anastasia Kanjere is a rank and file candidate running for the position of General Secretary of the National Tertiary Education Union or NTEU, and speaks with us today about the need to transform the NTEU to save jobs and rebuild the sector. Anastasia is currently a worker in the sector as a casual academic, and is supported by a crew of campaigners in her push for A New NTEU.//

Holly Jones is a researcher in the Healthy Housing Centre for Research Excellence at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. Her research focuses on mould in housing, and she joins us to discuss this in the context of a need for action on climate change and building codes. As part of her research, Holly is involved in a Healthy Housing CRE study currently recruiting participants to measure dampness and mould exposure in Australian homes.
