Tune in to 3CR from 12 -6pm on Thursday January 26th for special broadcasting to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Aboriginal Tent Embassy in Canberra. Established on the lawns of Old Parliament House in January 1972, the embassy has been a focal point for the struggle for Aboriginal rights. Few Australian political protests can claim to have made an impact as great or as lasting as the Tent Embassy.

On 20 January 1842 Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner - two Indigenous freedom fighters - were executed on the corner of Bowen and Franklin Streets in Melbourne. A quarter of Victoria's white population came in carnival mood to see the killings. Join us on Friday 20 January from 12 noon to 1pm for a live broadcast to commemorate the execution of Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner and to call for the creation of a significant monument on the site they were executed.

Join us for a morning of human rights activism this Saturday 10 December - Human Rights Day. From 7.30 - 9am the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre will host a live radio forum highlighting the contribution asylum seekers make to our community.
