On Sunday 27 April 2025 from 12–3pm, join Professor Gary Foley for a free workshop offering discussion and education on the topic of Indigenous struggle, facilitated by Community Defence Marshalling System with the generous support of Dardi Munwurro.
We invite all members of the community to attend in solidarity with First Nations people.
Gary Foley is an Aboriginal activist of the Gumbaynggirr people. He’s known for his role in establishing the Aboriginal Tent Embassy – and for more than 50 years of writing, teaching and activism. Uncle Gary's profound impact, knowledge and influence extends across fields as broad as the legal and justice system, Aboriginal health and survival, academia and the arts.
This is an important opportunity to learn from our elders, develop our political understandings and inform our actions on the street.
No bookings are needed; just bring your friends and show up. This venue is wheelchair accessible and partly outdoor. Tea and coffee will be provided. A small donation to cover costs is appreciated but not mandatory. N95 masks are welcome and encouraged.
